Entertainment publicist and published writer Susan Stafford launched UNIT:PR Inc. to fill the need for a communications agency solely dedicated to television and film in Canada.

Since launching UNIT:PR in 2006, Susan Stafford of UNIT:PR has worked with some of the top producers and production companies in Canada. By leveraging her knowledge of the media landscape and her strong relationships with journalists, Susan Stafford ensures maximum coverage for her clients through UNIT:PR. In addition, the new media unit of UNIT:PR promises to further enhance her clients reputations by carving out a niche for them in the increasingly relevant online community.

The launch of UNIT:PR in Toronto came on the heels of Susan's work as a network publicist for Alliance Atlantis (now Canwest) specialty channels HGTV, BBC CANADA, BBC Kids, and FINE LIVING. Prior to joining Alliance Atlantis and launching UNIT:PR, Susan was the English language publicist for TELETOON Canada. While at TELETOON, Susan generated the most coverage in TELETOON's history for the channel's fall 2004 launch with Leslie Nielsen.

Before crossing into television, Susan worked in the press office of the Toronto International Film Festival Group from 2002-2003 where she acted as accreditation coordinator. Susan also acted as sole publicist for 2003 Sprockets Toronto International Film Festival for Children where she generated the most coverage the festival had until that point. In addition, Susan has written several articles for Photo District News Magazine in New York City and Canada's Globe & Mail newspaper.

Adventurous at heart, Susan lived in the UK from 1999-2001 before settling in Toronto. While in London, she worked as the assistant to American Beauty film director Sam Mendes. In addition, Susan worked in commercial and music video production. Susan has her B.A. in English from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA.
